BOOKING - JESSICA LYNCH

Jessica Lynch - Former Prisoner of War - Iraq 2003

In February 2003, Jessica's unit was deployed to Iraq. On March 23, 2003, Jessica's unit, the 507th Maintenance Company, was ambushed. Jessica and Lori were both taken as Prisoners of War, with only Jessica surviving. She was held in captivity until she was rescued by U.S. special operations forces. Jessica’s rescue was the first successful rescue of an American POW since World War II. Jessica has been awarded the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, and Prisoner of War medals.

The story of her rescue, her unit, fellow soldiers, and rescuers is depicted in the book I Am a Soldier, Too by Rick Bragg. Today, Jessica speaks to various groups around the United States, sharing the story about her fellow soldiers and friends she lost; as well as talking about overcoming her obstacles and how perseverance helped her survive.

Testimonials

Jessica Lynch did a great job for our event. She is easy to work with, down to earth, and highly professional. Her story of overcoming horrific circumstances was inspiring. The tips she gave for dealing with anxieties, traumas, and even PSTD were profound and useful for everyone in the audience. Her presentation is touching, heartwarming, and will fill anyone with the encouragement to carry on. After her talk, over 100 people were so moved that they stood in line to meet her. I highly recommend her and look forward to her speaking at another of our events.

We hosted POW Jessica Lynch for our annual Celebrate America service in July 2017. As a veteran, I am very grateful for the men and women who serve to keep us free. As a Pastor, I believe we should give honor to whom honor is due. POW Jessica Lynch epitomizes the very definition of honor.

As she shared her remarkable story, I watched the expressions of gratitude on the faces of those in attendance. She was articulate and her story was compelling. She is an incredible lady and a remarkable example of patriotism. She gives the glory to God for His providential care. Now, she is able to travel and communicate God’s abiding
presence and power.

She is a wonderful person and a delight to be around; she has such a contagious personality…very refreshing. We are forever grateful to Jessica for her sacrifice and we look forward to having her with us
again.
